I am currently navigating through the recent Supreme Court of Canada decision R v. National Post, which will be the subject of my next piece. I’m hoping to deal with the issue of anonymous sources in journalism and whether or not they are truly integral to quality journalism as well as what implications the case has for journalists in Canada. Not an easy task. My hope is to have it up Monday at the latest. In the meantime, here are a few goodies from around the internets which I thought I’d share.
Glenn Greenwald collects the case against likely Obama Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan.
A recent article in the New England Journal of Medicine detailing the role of the federal government in medical marijuana reform.
Professor John Duncan’s recent piece about the insurgency in Afghanistan in the Globe and Mail. Professor Duncan is one of the finest critical thinkers on the war.
Lastly, I am quite enjoying this tune from Mumford and Sons, a recent musical discovery for me. Their video is below. Take care until next time.
